Pobrecito...

Our little boy is sick. So sick. So sick that he can't even suck on his favorite fingers, Burt and Ernie....
He's too sick to play with his buddy, Stella, who lives on the other side of our duplex. Sometimes she comes out in the entry, and John is so excited to hear her voice! He runs/toddles very quickly over to the door and lifts up the curtain and they babble to each through the glass. John's sad when she leaves, and he often lifts up the curtain hoping she will come save him from this quarantine.

It's probable that he has RSV, a super cold for babies and toddlers. It's been so long since John has been sick, and I don't know if he's ever been this sick.... but this experience is really helping me realize what a blessing it is that he's almost always a very healthy boy, getting into all sorts of mischief. Right now he mostly just cries, has tantrums and wants to be held. Oh, and he'd like to live in the bath, but I think he'd turn into a prune, and as good as they are for digestive health, they're not very good sons.

I hope and pray my pobrecito (poor little one) will recover very soon. Seth has been such a great support and help. I am thankful for the power of prayer and the priesthood. Because of those blessings, I know everything will be ok.
